Your limited-edition Black Card is more than a gift card — it’s a year-long membership designed to elevate your dining experience across all Richard DeShantz Restaurant Group locations.
Your Core Benefits
10% Dining Discount
- Receive 10% off the subtotal every time you use your Black Card to pay the entire check.
- Valid for in-restaurant dining only.
- Not valid on delivery, take-out, gift cards, or select special events (such as prix fixe dinners).
Important:
At counter-service locations, please tell the cashier or bartender you’re paying with a Black Card before swiping so your discount can be applied.
Priority Waitlist Access (Up to 4 Guests)
- Dining without a reservation? Your name moves to the top of the waitlist for parties of up to four.
- If multiple Black Card members are waiting, placement is based on arrival time.
- You may be asked to show your Black Card and ID at the door.

Reloadable & Accepted Everywhere
- Add funds anytime using the QR code on the back of your card.
- Check your balance and rewards points via the same QR code.
- Accepted at all current and future RDRG locations.
Important Reloading Note:
You must reload before your balance reaches $0.
If it hits $0, reloading must be done in person at a restaurant.
Rewards Points (Double Value)
- Your Black Card automatically serves as your rewards account.
- Earn rewards throughout 2026 — then they’re doubled at year-end.
How Rewards Work
- For our general rewards program every $2 spent, you earn 1 reward point.
- For Black Card holders, all rewards earned in 2026 are doubled.
- If you don’t renew for 2027, you keep your rewards points.
When Points Are Added
- July 1: Purchases from Jan 1 – June 30
- December 31: Purchases from July 1 – Dec 31
Redeeming Rewards
- Scan the QR code one the back of your card to view your balance.
- Tell your server or cashier you’d like to redeem points at checkout.
Member-Only Access
- Invitations to exclusive tastings, openings, and special events
- First opportunity to renew or repurchase a Black Card for the following year before public sales
Important Rules & Restrictions
- The Black Card is for the named cardholder only.
- The cardholder must be present and using the Black Card to pay to receive the discount.
- The cardholder name may be changed once per calendar year by emailing:

- Discount does not apply to gift card purchases.
- Tips cannot be added to the Black Card. Please tip with another form of payment.
Private Events
Yes — you may use your Black Card toward private events.
- Discount may be applied during the planning process with our Events Director.
- Any required food & beverage minimum must still be met after the discount is applied.
- Rewards points cannot be used for private events

Lost your card?
Email cardmembers@richarddeshantz.com immediately. Your card will be deactivated and replaced with your balance intact.
Can I use the card before January 1, 2026?
Yes — it’s active upon receipt.
Do I need to mention my Black Card when reserving?
No — just present it when paying.
The physical card must be present.
Can I use it for take-out or delivery?
Yes, but the 10% discount does not apply.
Can I tip with it?
No — gratuity must be paid separately.
Can I buy gift cards with it?
No — gift cards cannot be purchased with Black Cards.
Renewal & End-of-Year Details
Renewing for the Following Year
- You’ll receive renewal communications in early to mid-November, before public sales.
- Renewal includes a personalized purchase link and deadline.
If You Do Not Renew
- Any remaining balance will be transferred to a single-restaurant gift card of your choice.
- Rewards points (including doubled points) will transfer.
- Your Black Card will be deactivated on January 1 and may be discarded.
